Chocolate Coated

words moved slowly from your lips
lips that spoke words as smooth as chocolate
chocolate coated to cover their meaning
meaning to purposely deceive

deceive me into thinking you cared
cared about my feelings
feelings I now had for you
you had found a place in my heart

heart I bared as I trusted you
you played me like a game
game that had a winner and a loser
loser you thought would be me

me the one you would hurt
hurt until I saw through you
you masked yourself so cleverly
cleverly my mind did finally see

see what the future would hold
hold for me if I didn't let go
go find someone else to join your game
game over, I will no longer play
