Mommy's Sunshine
by Y. M. Roger
70 Word Flash Fiction Contest Winner
Hearing the morning rainstorm, young Robert tiptoed downstairs. Sure enough, there was Mommy, staring out the window with tears running down her cheeks.
Little man on a mission, Robert ran upstairs and collected his bedroom’s Thor nightlight and bathroom nightlight. Bringing his desk lamp and flashlight, too, he plugged the three in.
Flipping on all the room lights, Robert danced with his flashlight.
“Look, Mommy! Inside sunshine just for you!”
