A Fantasy Poem for the Potlatch Challenge

To Dance with Fireflies

by June Sargent

I love to dance
      with fireflies
            where the fragrant moonflower blooms.
          As darkness looms,
      I take the chance
   'neath midnight skies
to swirl and prance.

Their twinkling lights
      enchant young minds
in search of fun - plus old ones, too,
      like me and you.
    Take off the blinds.
Enjoy the sights.

When sun does rise
to blur our eyes,
those twinkling lights we'll see no more.
Don't close the door.
No need to hide.
Come on outside.
I'll be your guide.
