Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Jesus My Savior has given His all; I give Him my heart.

My Offering

Lord God, you've given me everything.
To this clay vessel, Spirit wings.
Yet here I lie, earthbound and worn,
Not far from the place where I was born.

Heavy baggage, it still weighs me down,
And the burdens of life have turned me round,
More times than I care to admit,
But You're there each time I take a hit.

Trials have sprung, it seems, from thin air,
The sorrows of life have felt cruel and unfair.
Many joys of life seem to be in the past!
And I don't know how long my loved ones will last.

Change and dismay have often hurt me,
Yet I know You would never desert me!
I must look to You first, to hold me, to guide me,
To calm the emotions that churn up inside me.

Try as I might to give you my troubles,
My burdens blow back, and sometimes double.
From where comes the wind that lashes my feet?
Could it spring from my own soul, my faith incomplete?

It isn't enough to lay down heavy loads;
I must lay myself down on that same rugged road,
And surrender my soul to the One who gave all,
Who died, that I might no longer fall.

Yes, You would be faithful with all I could give,
You'd provide all I need to truly live.
Lord Jesus, I give You my troublesome strife,
And I trust You to empower my life!

You are the true Rock that never gives way,
The Light that gives hope to the darkest day.
You bought my life, at the greatest cost,
And nothing I offer You ever is lost.
