Moonbase Alpha

by tempeste

The truth is kept under wraps
cause the crude facts
would make us panic like rats.

We are not alone;
we are now targets
and under silent attack.

The enemy from Centauri, a distant star system
wants to abduct 'n use human organs as body parts.

Col.Straker has sacrificed his family
to run S.H.A.D.O ; a secret organization
intent on keeping safe our nations.

Cool purple wigged operatives
on Moonbase Alpha
monitor our space area.

If the enemy eludes the moon interceptors
and enters earth's atmosphere,
a skydiver is sent to destroy the intruder.

An alien was once caught;
he died on a slab in a lab.
Scientist picked him apart.

This insidious battle is ongoing,
attacks, in number, are growing.
Humanity's future unknown.

A warm thank you to supergold for photo : "Walking on the moon"

The series' premise is that in 1980 (a date indicated repeatedly in the opening credits), Earth is being visited by aliens from a dying planet, who are abducting humans and harvesting their organs for their own bodies. The alien incursions may also be a prelude to a possible full-scale invasion. The series' main cast of characters are the staff of a secret, high-technology international military agency called SHADO (an acronym for Supreme Headquarters, Alien Defence Organisation) established to defend Earth and humanity against the mysterious aliens and learn more about them, while at the same time keeping the threat of an alien invasion hidden from the public.

Pays one point and 2 member cents.
