This work has reached the exceptional level
a poem

One Smiling Word

I searched for one smiling word
Read one scripted face
Tasted one sweetened voice

My senses were absurd
All taking place
Without any choice

My thoughts overheard
In public space
Above crowded noise

How do I flee the herd
Without attempting to erase
Everything that destroys

My desire to maintain normalcy
