by A. Willow Bends

a set routine
there is no denying
the wonderful, beautiful scene
lying back in my chair, I breathe and lean
to realize the distance is infinite afar
inhaling the night air, fragrant and clean
wishing on meteors, silver, peach, green
can't blame one for trying
night sky pristine

My family loves to lay in the driveway and watch meteor showers. We make wishes just as if they are falling stars. My 5 year old Grandson frequently comments about our last "shower watch". We saw some good ones and he was totally in awe!
