Last Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving morning.

I am sitting quietly in the bedroom of our suite enjoying a coffee.

Every-year we get a hotel suite facing "The Parade" route. My husband and the kids are eating room service brunch and watching the parade on the street below.

My TV is on. The sound is off. A news banner crawls across the screen saying something about "TAKE SHELTER" ... Then ... suddenly we lose power ... a bright blinding flash ...
