A Dash in The Moonlight

by persevere

It was unbearably humid. Linda's ONLY covering was a sheet.
Sleep eventually overtook her concerns about the next day's garden party.

A rustling of the bedroom curtain heralded a weather change.

Linda sprung into action.

She ran out into the moonlit garden and
lowered the sunshades set up over the tables.

As she beat a hasty retreat inside, the telephone rang.

"Would Mary Poppins mind giving a repeat performance?"

Her neighbour's bedroom light was on!
