It isn't Christmas without him.
A Blue Christmas
by Tpa
"Don't cry Debbie," I said.
"But Mommy, it won't be Christmas without Daddy." She sniffled.
"I know dear, but Daddy is a soldier, far away. He'll be home soon."
Tears rolled down Debbie's cheeks.
I took her shopping. I bought her dresses, toys, and her favorite candies but nothing could make her smile.
Her Grandparents came on Christmas Eve. Santa came to the door. Debbie sat on his lap. She tugged at his beard. "Daddy!"
