Writing about a mum plant.

The Plum Mum (Prompt)

by Rosemary Everson1

Purchasing a plum mum, brings beauty to the eyes.  The price wasn't costly and the clerk did compromise.  The plant was the last one, it stood on the lot all alone. I'm sure it had a good run and now it was our very own.

Watering the plant daily, maintains its stature, composure.  Okay, plum mum, will you live or die this winter?  I'll place it inside, it's out of the cold exposure.

Branches are very subtle, the sprouts will turn brown.  In spring, I'll ask, 'what shall I do with the mum that I found?  My answer is, 'Carefully in spring, I'll plant it in the ground.'

I love my annual mum; and I'll try to keep it alive. Using my green thumb, the plum mum will survive.  So don't ever give up, on something that you love.  It's protected by an angel, uniform above.

Dying Houseplant writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
A houseplant is dying. Tell it why it needs to live.

Mums are gorgeous...every autumn they become a very popular flower. In spring we plant them in the ground.

Didn't say in the directions; just said prompt. Should this be a prose? I wrote a writing prompt.
