This work has reached the exceptional level
A Rhyming Poem

Forgive Us

by kahpot

forgive this blindness we did not see
our selfish thoughts set ignorance free

neglecting to build our house a home
resourcing need with danger unknown
requiring all riches for the now to own
designing life's structure for us alone

forgive earth's pain and continuous bleed
our greed just spread like poisonous weed

with trees still burning your future's hope
clouding your progress in pompous smoke
the seas we strangled with landfill's mote
now struggling to hold young dreams afloat

our vision now, is to ease your trouble
forgive us, only! if we break this bubble
