Some folks think their life is in God’s hands
And He determines what their life will be;
I think He gave us brains we’re meant to use
And figure out and make our destiny.
 
Most of us have choices we can make—
But plans have ways of changing and we find
That we adapt and do the best we can
And hope we end our life with peace of mind.
 
I have reached the time in life that I
Enjoy the simple things: a comfy bed,
Family phone calls—even late at night;
Life is what you make it, someone said.
