No School Today

by Darlene Franklin

On Saturdays,
School's out, all's play
I-don't-have-to learn-day

It's Teachers' Day.
School's out, all's play.
I-don't-have-to-listen-day

Snow falls, free day
School's out, all's play
I-have-to-stay-inside-day

Mom says, please stay.
We have all day.
Play-games-and-learn-day.
