harvest moon

by judester

The harvest moon peeps
between trees on her rise,
chill winds come alive
with coyotes' cries.

My cat circles 'round
in a feral daze.
Dizzy, she prances
dancing, half crazed.

Grey forest bathed
in autumnal light,
I circle once,
fly into the night.
