Donuts
That box holds an assortment of donuts.
A treasure of tasty flavors to tempt me.
How they glisten, glow, glint and gleam
in that flimsy tiny square cardboard box.
While the wall clock loudly ticks on...
Powdered sugar sits on a cake donut,
Strawberry jelly holds on to its squirt
As churned cream cries itself into custard.
Chocolate frosted with and without sprinkles.
Cinnamon dusted, or sour cream glazed?
I don't know what that is, but it looks good.
If you could, you would. I can, so I should.
