What Purple Means to Me

Purple, the royal color,

plays along the liturgical

line of colors.

In the Advent Wreath,

purple signifies

hope, faith, and peace,

promise

the Christ Child.

Lenten purple portrays

suffering, pain, and mourning,

ever mindful of sacrifice

for love

of mankind,

bringing to fruition

the fact of Resurrection

and Everlasting Life.

This is what purple

means to me.
