Writers all over the globe,
From places that I’ll never see,
Have offered their stories, their poems
And comments to FS, which enabled me
 
To get to know authors—now how fun is that!
And to read all their joys and laments,
Their rants and their raves, the stories that they’ve
Slaved over, and all their comments.
 
Maybe a picture book, novel, or film
Is the goal for which some of them aim.
For others, Fan Story’s contests provide
A chance to win “fortune and fame.”
 
I do love the contests (and winning, of course)
The challenges energize me;
But these FS writers are clever and smart
And write very competitively.
 
I admit that sometimes my opinion goes wild,
And I get fired up over things;
And I go on and on, like I’m trying to compile
A thesis on politic-ing.
 
But most members are kind, and pretend not to mind,
And they write and critique with aplomb;
And I find that I wait and I anticipate
Their next creative writing to come.
 
The best thing about the FS website
Is it’s a beehive of ideas,
And I’ve learned quite a lot, when I have writer’s block,
There’s a plethora of panaceas!
 
And each day, for me, it’s a joy to see
The different responses I get
And I read, rapidly, each one, greedily.
Am I fond of Fan Story? You bet!
