This work has reached the exceptional level
A birthday sonnet

Another Birthday ( 67)

Another birthday now I celebrate;
Begin again the countdown to next year,
The time has gone so quickly, won’t debate
But thankful for the fact I am still here.

I look around and count my blessings all;
The riches in my life their cost is free,
All memories of the good times can recall,
Filled with my dear friends and family.

With happy thoughts begin this special day;
Look in the mirror, give myself a smile,
May even wish me hip, hip, hip, hooray,
These sixty seven years have been worthwhile.

For aging is a privilege some don’t get;
So I’ll enjoy mine now without regret.

Today I celebrate my 67th Birthday( Australian dateline is the 7th October) so this year. I thought a sonnet may be my annual birthday poem

And what am I going to do today LOL Yes Go to work I have a new group of student nurses starting today so I am off to give them an orientation .
