A night of making words sing

by Aussie

T'was a full moon tonight
Restless muse singing
My quill floated within sight
Parchment unfurled, in face flinging

Sleep was not for this magic time
My quill dipped in ink writing
Faeries carried words mine
They alighted on parchment sighting

As I began my poem, words were singing
Telling stories in beautiful time
Bringing to life words to paper ringing
Blessed faery bells, chorus of rhyme

We poets cannot ignore moonbeams
Lighting our way to ancient bling
Opening our way to stories it seems
A night of making words sing
