Best friends

Teddy and Me

by Sally Law

~~~~~~~~~
My teddy and me we sit and talk,
sometimes we sing or go for walks.
He’s my friend, my bestest bud,
likes to romp in the mud.
As Mommy tucked us
All snug in bed,
“Best day, Jack.”
Teddy
Said.
Nonet Poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a nonet poem. It's a simple format. A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with just one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional.
My grandkids use the word, bestest. It is not a familiar word with some but acceptable for this child-like poem. According to grammarly.com, Bestest is a nonstandard emphatic form of best. It means, the best of the best. Teddy the bear certainly qualifies.
