Dance your way through life.

by Thomas Bowling

My youngest brother, Doug, was a very large man, but he never let his size interfere with his love of dancing. One evening, with the encouragement of friends, he entered and won a line-dance contest at Will's Western Emporium.

As he was being presented with the shiny trophy, the Master of Ceremonies said, “You look winded.”

My brother laughed heartily and asked, “How many six-foot-five three-hundred-forty-pound dancers do you know?”

Sadly, my brother succumbed to heart failure six years ago, but while he was with us, he lived his life to the fullest.
