Molly stood on the shore waving as the ship sailed into the distance, tears streaming from her eyes. She would miss him so much.
She remained there sobbing until the ship was out of sight.
Pulling her shawl tightly around her shoulders to fend off the howling wind, she thought back to the day the letter arrived, stating that he had won a two week luxury Carribean cruise for two and he'd chosen to take his mother ... instead of her.
