Tuesday Terror

by dragonpoet

It shouldn't have occurred
No one should have died
If only alphabet agencies concurred,
Shared data or had tried

To work with one another
No towers would have had to fall
If no secrets were kept from the other
The Pentagon wouln't have a new wall

If national security was ordained
Then Penn's plain would not be burned,
littered with parts and blood stained
And the tide of grief would be turned

If no secrets were kept, then breath
could have stayed and we'd mourn no death.
