Childrens Poem Quatrains

Rock a Bye

by Sugarray77

Children's Rhyming Poem Contest Winner

You’re sailing off to dreamy land
with eyes half closed in sleep.
Soft lullabies sung in your ears
sends slumber oh so deep.

The rhythm of the rocking chair
its gentle to and fro
entices you to Neverland
where young boys often go.

You’ll play all night with pirate swords
as young lads often do,
and waken with tomororrow’s sun
to romp in morning dew.

So, lay your little nodding head
within my arms, just there,
and give yourself to childish dreams
while momma holds your cares.
