Unforgettable

My First Date~Fall 1967

by Sally Law

Nothing blights a first date more than throwing up.

Dear readers, I didn't throw up in front of my date. Oh no, that would've been tolerable. I baptized him.

Scott and I had agreed to meet at the fair, along with my two best girlfriends.

Nervous, I downed a deep-fried funnel cake, and a Coca-Cola shortly before we boarded the Rock-O-Plane.

While spinning in midair, I hurled on Scott Delaney Cooper.

Scott signed my yearbook--"To my unforgettable first date."

Selecting a song from 1967 was a difficult decision. There was simply too many great ones! But, I chose this one because I had recently heard The Young Rascals in June of 1967 at an open-air concert at my high school. They were fabulous!
