A chapter in the book Remembering Dean

Mr. Dean We Will Miss You

by Roxanna Andrews

A YOUNG DEAN KUCH

Mr. Dean could terrify with a macabre poem,
You can go to his page and read 'em.

But don't blame me if you get a fright,
And nightmares keep you up all night.

Some are very scary, some not so much,
some have humor, but just a touch.

He got a bit exasperated with those whose goal,
was to get through and save his soul.

He had a deep faith, no need to fear,
He loved the Lord, that much was clear.

He served his country and suffered PTSD,
Writing was a way to make those demons flee.

When I didn't see his poems, I feared his soul had taken flight,
I was so sorry to find out I was right.

One day we will meet again, right off I'll know 'em,
We can start a writing class in heaven,
Teaching the art of writing a good poem.

Dean was one of the first people I met on FanStory. He was always kind with his reviews and grateful for the ones he received. I was one of the ones worried about him because of his poems, but he assured me I had no need to worry. =} When I didn't see him posting I was afraid something had happened. He is with the Lord now, whole and healthy and very happy. He will be greatly missed.
