75 Word Story Contest Winner
Huddled under the bridge, Lexi shivered alone. Last winter, she’d joined some guys to keep warm. She glanced at her scarred arms and legs… yeah, that hadn’t gone well.
Suddenly, a cheerful woman’s voice startled her.
“Are you hungry? We’ve opened a new mission down the street.”
Lexi glared up at her and spat.
“I don’t believe in your mission or your God!”
“That’s okay.” Cheery woman offered her hand, smiling. “He believes in you.”
