Breakfast Is Over
by sunnilicious
The alarm clock is ringing, and I reach for the phone. The water decanter tumbles to the floor like a wave crashing onto a big rock. I try to look, but squint myself into a deepening sleep mode. Unaware that I am clutching to the dial-tone.
Hours later, the shining sun beats down on my face. The light is a blessing... Or so the church goers would promise. I can tell you that light shining through the window, touching my face, early in the morning, feels like a complete disgrace. And so, I sleep some more...
Breakfast is over, and it appears to be lunchtime at McDonald's.
