Doors

by estory

Opening the door
Closing the door behind you

Front doors, back doors, side doors
French doors, pocket doors, double doors

The bathroom door
The closet door
The parlor door
The bedroom door

The door to the pharmacy,
The door to the shoe store,
The door to the bank,
The door to the church

Trying to decide which door
This door or that door
The door to your future,
The door to your past

Automatic doors, sliding doors

Knocking on the door
And ringing the doorbell

Doorways
Doorstoppers
Doorknobs

What goes on behind closed doors

Doormen holding the door
And doormen keeping you out

The door to the office
The door to your apartment
The door to the movie theatre
The door to the police station

Slamming a door
Breaking down a door

Locking the door

Revolving doors

Another one of these poems that I had fun with thinking of all the moments of life we have come in contact with doors of some kind; the doors we open, the doors we close, the doors we have to go through and the choices we make in deciding which doors to go through. And where they lead us. estory
