The Wake Of 911

In cratered ruins of nine one one,
lies destruction, death and sorrow.
The birds still sing and kids still play
as we wait a new tomorrow.

Who are, where are these terrorists?
They are tuned to some other God.
They plot and pray, day after day
to launch yet another jihad.

Should we seek to know their reason,
is this hatred from deeds we've sown?
Does arrogance, wealth and freedom
breed an anger we should have known?

Yet, amidst these trials and turmoil
the market has stolen our purse.
Still, the world just keeps on turning,
for the better, or for the worse.

I'm sitting here and wondering
if Iraq is the place to go.
Should we seek out the real culprits
and ward off any further blow?

The acts of 911 was extremely terrible.I wondered, at that
time if going into Iraq was the answer.
