An 8 line romantic poem ...

A Day in September

by Jerome Goldberg

It was indeed a day to remember
A joyful day in late September

The fragrance of fresh brewed coffee filled the room
Although married for many a year, I felt like a young new groom

Spent the day at the track
Won a fortune on horse named Big Mack

My old shrewd wife took half and left
With a sweet young thing, enjoyed the rest

This poem is totally fictional. An similarity to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental. LOL!
