Watching dancing mist at the shore

A Chance Encounter

by HarryT

I watch a nymph
clad in misty blue
whirl in rhythmic dance

Her only accompaniment
drumbeating white caps
pounding onto the shore

Moonlight streaks her hair
she twirls, sauters and pirouettes
across the sandy stage

Sensing me, she halts,
blows a kiss, and vanishes
into the evening sea
