God of My Bones

by Fonda Little

"I'm seeing reality for what it is.
Why was I ever frightened,
of any of this?
My heart is a lion,
who made his way back to the pride,
who thanks God he is still alive!

Alive in all aspects,
ready to detect,
the devil's disrespect,
who I will always reject!

The promise was kept,
to The God of My Bones,
I was always trying to find You,
and now I've found my way back Home!

Let the wickedness rest,
for I have set mine aside,
when two worlds,
were set to spark,
and to collide.

Your Everlasting Love,
was mapped in the warmest hands,
and You made it start,
Thank You God,
You made it start again!

I now call You The Bestest of Friends!
I'm sorry in my pain I shut You out,
but now I am different,
changed,
closer to what You want,
and need me to be,
to help the world beat again,
in Your Rhythm.

You shall make us all swim,
save us all when we sink,
for I know many ways to get to the brink,
just to hear Your Name,
and feel it.

You are The God of My Bones,
and I know You are overjoyed,
that Your son has come Home!"

After I got saved and surrendered my will and life to Jesus in rehab after my first stroke I turned my back somewhat on My Journey with Jesus and relapsed and it cost me a second stroke. Thank You Lord for Your Amazing Grace! Hallelujah for saving a wretch like me! I have almost 6 months clean and sober By The Grace of God! So I can definitely relate to The Prodigal Son after that experience!
