What kind of birds fly at night?

Mrs. Johnson don't know birds

by Robert Zimmerman

I was in the yard stargazing one evening when our neighbor, Judy Johnson, called to me from her driveway. She was trying to move a wheelbarrow into the garage. She said, “Frank’s not home, Dave, could you push this into our garage?”
“Sure, Judy.”
“He should have been home before dark.”
“I’ll just push this into the garage and then get on home.”
The streetlight was on and it lit up the area.
Judy said “Look at all those birds. I didn’t know birds flew at night.”
“They don’t. Those are bats.”
We haven’t seen her outside for several months.
