Wood, Hay and Stubble

by patcelaw

When I walked through fires of trouble
God ridded me of wood, hay and stubble
all the things that were in my life
which were bringing me so much strife

Unforgiveness, anger and bitterness
in places where there should be happiness
He brought me through each troubled time,
now I have a life that's so sublime.

He walks close beside me every day
He keeps me following Him, the only way.

May we build our works on gold, silver and precious stones which will last eternally and not on wood, hay and stubble which will be burned up.
