A short poem

star ~ dust

by judester

Her laughter fills my heart with joy,
eyes closed in sheer delight.
The tiger slowly rises,
to the stars, into the night.

The spinning lights grow distant
as she flies away from me,
Soaring high, she waves in time
to the calliope.

She lands ever so gently,
returning to the fair.
Back to me, I smile to see
the star~dust in her hair.

Thanks to Angelheart for the artwork. There is an old fashioned carousel at Shelburne museum in Vermont. With its warbling calliope and chipped paint horses, it is a legacy to years of joyous imagination.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
