Fate called and came the other day.
Death's grasping hands must have their way.
They took with them a goodly man
who had used all of life's brief span.

He was a poet of great repute,
on this there can be no dispute.
His writing skills were meant to be
filled with great depth and imagery.

If we can say some kindly thing
and peace and joy to him can bring,
then all of us shall better be,
uplifted, by his memory.
