For my beautiful, smart , youngest child kylie

Never give up!

by Blue Hendrix

She can accomplish anything she sets her mind on.
Some might quit but, she will work right through dawn.
It might take her a little longer than some,
but she always says "mom, a learning disability doesn't make you dumb."

She just has to find other ways to reach a chosen goal,
and when it doesn't go quite right with the punches she will roll.
If someone says "oh, she's not smart enough to do that."
Well, thats when she puts on her determination hat.

It reminds her that sometimes she just has to find her own ways,
she has to work harder and longer most days.
The key to success when you have dyslexia or another issue,
is to think about it first, don't just cry into your tissue.

The same principle applies to ADHD.
It has made her a take charge person, that's who she has to be.
She has always had the mind set that learning difficulties weren't going to hold her back.
This was the push she needed to give her what others might lack.

I am so proud to call her my child, her outlook is one of a kind.
Even with a learning disability she does great things with her mind.
she still has bad days, this world is a cruel place,
Still she remains focused with a smile on her beautiful face.
