Time ticks on relentlessly
as life slips by each day.
A faded photo gathers dust
of us, that sunny day.

So full of life (and oh so thin)
something made us laugh,
That moment caught forever
in a dusty photograph

Squinting in the setting sun
so young, our spirits high.
Arms around each other,
on that wondrous day gone by.

We still stand together ~
not so thin, a few hairs gray.
That love we shared so long ago,
a wooden frame displays.
