Jealousy causes a lot of strife!

A Crime of Passion

by Gypsymooncat

What you have done has left me cold, but only outwardly
My inner core is burning like a pig upon a spit
And just like a volcano I'll erupt eventually
But for the moment, I will keep my feelings dimly lit

I'll lie in wait until a chance to catch you unaware
presents itself, then I'll unleash my anger in a flood
And won't you get a shock to see my deepest thoughts laid bare!
You, who never cared, will soon be bleeding in the mud

My glee will know no bounds to see you suffering for once;
soon, it will be you who'll be receiving my disdain
You, who never cared, did you mistake me for a dunce?
It's time for you to plead with me for mercy from the pain

I must confess I have enjoyed this molten, seething ire
and feeling so unhinged, with little guilt for evil deeds
Me, who always cared, is now a demon caught on fire
Rebirth and liberation from your lies is all I need...

...but sheer impulsiveness delivered both of us to hell
Your death, ironically, brought no relief or liberty
Now I'm the one who pays the price within a prison cell
for acts that I committed all because of jealousy...
