The Poet Tree
Right at the corner park near you and me
Stands the trembling Poet Tree
Hoping the wind will soon let her free
To create some delightful poetry
Her branches and leaves make her only voice
But their wisdom indeed delivers great choice
She gathers her beloved birds and bees as the crickets
And flies bow down on their knees
Their singing begins a joyful sound
And the park is delighted all around
And so, the poet has blessed the day
Exactly as she planned it that way.
