Love's Dance

by Sandra Leon-Gonzalez

As we danced in the moonlight
Then gazed up at the stars
We both sought stolen glances
To see the other's heart
As our eyes eclipsed each other
We cemented our decree
Then without a single word
Love struck its highest key.

It seems in every moment
My thoughts will stray anew
And in those vivid moments
My body yearns for you.
Your touch still makes me shiver
I'm weakened by your embrace
Your glance will always melt me
And takes my breath away
Your sweet voice like a blanket
Wraps me like the wind
It sends my heart swirling
Like a tornado trapped within.

All my problems seem to vanish
When you are next to me
No destination to love's journey
Just hold my hands and see
Our love is filled with laughter
This joy seems so surreal.
There's no aging in our union
Time has stopped loves' Ferris-wheel
We are reveling in every moment
Just locked in an infinite bind
And we'll dance to our love story
Until the end of time.
