Flying to a new perspective

Pillow Of Dreams

the feathers fly
on wings of sad abandon
from my pillow of dreams

your feathers have flown
alight with flight so free
on wings of wild abandon

on my flattened pillow
my hopes lie crumpled 
clipped and caged

•   •   •

but doors spring open
dreams re-ignite
to nest in my mind

fresh chances
novel delights
new perspectives

over greener pastures
in gentler weather
under brighter skies
