It's Mother's Day

by Bill Schott

We must honor moms today,

assuming we know how to;

show her and all others how

there's happiness as we do.

Mothers are our friends when some

have kicked us to the alley;

always love us even in

the shadow of the valley.

We know that e'en mortal end

won't end her constant caring;

we are nurtured ever more

eternal blessings sharing.
