Love & terror

Be afraid in love

by astyanax

How do I honor thee
But give the thrown of Aphrodite
I've conquered many worlds
But none left me afeard
And shy on conquest
Wary about a quest
As that of love yet terror
Since her encounter

Never been so intimidated
Always gotten what I wanted
But the constant heartbeats
To a contemplation of defeat
Rage a battle inside me
A snatch from the jaws of victory
In an on-going warfare
Nothing can compare

Who is this Cleopatra
With lips of ambrosia
That I come to treasure
But crumpled my empire
How do I have worship addressed
To win over this goddess
I pride myself being a Caesar
But to this I surrender
