a story poem

Amy Stablaimey

Amy Stablaimey from Chey-mon-mee Falls
carried an infamy known by us all,
which sullied her name and brought out the calls,
"Amy Stablaimey gots breastes and balls!"

She, or a he?, was a question unending;
her, or his, days were all spent defending
the fact that his tackle had somehow been blending
to make her a him -- this problem begged mending.

One day a brother of some well-to-do
met Amy and heard of this gender taboo;
he then confided that he was mixed too;
they married soon after and moved to Peru.
