Can love die?

I am an honest man

by Colin Lowley

I am an honest man: do you see that in me?
I gaze your sadness when I glimpse in your eyes
I hide mine in my heart that belongs to thee
It hurts when my mind has no trust in you
I remember our love since the day it was new
Why have these years become full of decay?
Our flames are just flickering as dark is night
Do you have thoughts for another? It's too late I pray
Is their any hope, will your lost love come back my way?

I need some answers can you reply to me Jane?
I think we should part, to see what happiness brings
Give me your hand and show me your ring
Your lifeless body is now hurting me so
My thoughts are with you, with your pain on show
But it's too late and this cannot be undone
I shall phone the police and then go on the run
They will not believe that I found you this way
I am an honest man: do you see that in me?
