Calming Quiet

by Sugarray77

My day is done, I lay my head
on pillows, downy white
I snuggle deeper in my bed
awaiting sleepy night

The moon sends down soft silver beams
in pale, ambient light
enveloped in faint, whisper dreams
I’ve lost the will to fight

My home is still and drowsy now
house noises are but slight,
all is well within my world,
a gentle, calming quiet
