Jimmy's Friend

Alone in his room, Jimmy picked the dummy up and placed it on his lap. Getting his fingers in the strings on the back, he began.
"Hello, little guy. What's your name?"
"I'm your father, James."
"I th-thought you were my f-friend," said Jimmy, eyes watering.
"You don't deserve to have friends."
